Apple Blossom Tea

                 Hello everyone,

                  On a beautiful late spring day ( a couple of days ago)

              when the old apple tree was in full bloom I thought

                     it would be the perfect time and place for afternoon tea.

                   There is a lovely fragrance from the apple blossoms and

            the tree is all a hum with the buzzing of hundreds of

busy bees doing their work.

         A little filtered shade makes it

        a pleasant place to enjoy tea.

                                                                             The lupins are blooming now
                                                                             so I picked a small bouquet.

                                                                         I love this old tree that was probably
                                                                         planted when our farm house was built
                                                                         100 years ago. Our children loved to
                                                                         climb in it and now our grandchildren.

                                                                        Soft and delicate china.

                                                                       I painted this old table a soft green
                                                                       a few years ago,

                                                                          Blossom Time teacups and a new
                                                                          peony from the garden.

                                                                                  Homemade biscuits with rhubarb
                                                                                  preserves from our rhubarb patch.

                                                                           

                                                         It was such a delightful day to enjoy
                                                                   afternoon tea under the apple blossoms.
