(6 of 9) Growing Tomatoes & Peppers: Pepper Planting, Container Soil, Basic Feeding, Tomato Progress

(6 of 9) Growing Tomatoes & Peppers:
Pepper Planting, Container Soil, Basic Feeding, Tomato Progress

This is the 6th video of 9. Peppers and tomatoes like the warmth and generally like to be planted when the nights are in the 50's and the days are in the 70's. Too much nitrogen grows a lot of pepper leaves. While tomatoes love to be fed, a bit less for peppers is better. I talk about some basic fertilizing principles and how to make a basic container soil. I also show you how to plant your peppers in containers and in earth beds. Tomatoes show up in the video to but they will be the star of the next video.

Romantic Pink Balcony Tea

I love having tea on the balcony on
sunny spring days as I enjoy the
view of ducks swimming on the pond
and having a bird's eye view of the garden.

I am using my soft feminine pinks
                                                                       today for tea time.

A cool glass of pink lemonade
                                                                    is a summer time favorite.

                                                                          Pretty vintage china.
                                                                              Tea and homemade biscuits.

Linger awhile and enjoy the sunshine.

                                                         Yesterday was another beautiful day
here and I enjoyed doing a pretty
Apple Blossom Tea for you~ I will
                                                                    share it shortly.

I love this time of the year when there is so
much beauty in nature and inspiration abounds.

                                                                                                Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Afternoon Tea

                                                                              Hello everyone,

It is cool and cloudy here today
so I am enjoying my afternoon
tea indoors with a bouquet of
                                                                 tulips from our garden.

                                                                     A simple bouquet of tulips
                                                                     brings me joy.

Tea in a pretty tea cup also
                                                                            brings pleasure.

It may not be warm enough for tea
in the garden today but I can still
enjoy the view of the garden from
my window.

I hope your day is sunny and bright!

Garden Beauties

                 Happy weekend!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
After doing some garden chores I took
some close up shots in the garden since
it is a calm overcast day.

The lupins are just starting to bloom and I love
that they grow wild here in fields and ditches as
well as Growing in our garden.

These centura or penennial
          bachelors button seed themselves
around the garden. The bees love them.

My early peonies from my
Dad's garden are getting
close to opening.....love
my peonies!

The bleeding hearts are blooming
as well.

    Late tulips and alliums.

                                                                           The rhodo's are just starting
                                                                           as well.

                                                                                 More pretty tulips.
                                                                             This tulip is very
                                                                              unusual ...not sure
                                                                             what it will look like
                                                                             when it opens.
Alliums also self seed rather freely
and I love them!

Hope you enjoyed some close up
beauties from our garden. I will be
back soon with a balcony tea time.

                                                                            Thanks for visiting!

                                                                                            Carolyn

Blue & White Tablescape

       Hello everyone,

I hope your week is going
well.

A few evenings ago we had
a few members of our family
for a casual dinner.

I used my blue and white
transferware dishes
and a new blue
and white tablecloth.

I quickly snapped a few
  photos before they arrived.

Our lilacs are just starting to bloom
here so I am looking forward to lots
of fragrant bouquets shortly. I always
enjoy photographing them so I will share
                                                              them soon.

                                                                                  Hope you enjoy your day!
