Late July Garden Tour

    Hello everyone!

Where has the time gone......can't believe it

is almost August.

We have had a cloudy wet and cool week but

the garden is loving it!

                                                                          The delpiniums are still
                                                                          looking fresh and pretty.

                                                                       Our Chelsea Garden has
                                                                      delphiniums,roses and daylilies
                                                                      blooming now.

                                                                           The Ville de Lyon clematis
                                                                            looks pretty with the new blue/green
                                                                           on the arbor.

                                                                          Our little Gardener's Cottage is
                                                                          nestled into the garden.

                                                                             Monkshood blooming
                                                                             in several spots in the garden.
                                                                             It is an easy care plant and also
                                                                             easy to move and divide.

                                                                         We did get a few rays of sun here and there.

                          Well, that is our garden tour for this week.

                              By next week our garden will be entering it's

                                 most colorful phase so I will give you another

Strawberries and Cream

                                                                           Happy weekend!

                                                    We have had a cloudy and damp week
                                                    but today is perfect for a treat in the garden.

                                                                    So since local fresh strawberries
                                                                   are still plentiful why not enjoy
                                                                  some strawberries and cream.

                                                                          Red and white gingham are
                                                                          my linens today and a simple
                                                                          garden bouquet for the table.

Summer on the Porch

     Summer on the Porch

One of my favorite places to have our

meals is on the screened in porch in the

summer ~even on warm rainy days.

                                                                              Afternoon tea is also often
                                                                              enjoyed on the porch.

                                                                              I picked a fresh bouquet from
                                                                              the garden.

                                                                         I am enjoying the delphiniums in the garden
                                                                        but also in bouquets.

                                                                           The garden outside the porch shot

                      Fresh Island strawberries are

       a nice summer treat.

                                                                      place to relax.

Lavender Tea Time

             Hello everyone,

          It is a rainy day here today so it

is another indoor tea time.

1. 
   

                                                                               The sun room is my favorite place
                                                                               for tea when it is too wet outdoors.
                                                                               I love this toile pillow that was a gift.
                                                                               I am reading Rosamunde Pilcher's
                                                                               Voices in Summer right now.

                                                                               My peonies make such a pretty
                                                                                bouquet in this antique pitcher.
                                                                       

                                                                                 I have my lavender hat all
                                                                                  ready for tea.

                                                           I am excited to have my Picnic by the Pond featured
                                                           in the latest edition of Romantic Country! It is on the
                                                           news stand now if you would like to check it out.

                                             I was out plant shopping today as they
                                                        are clearing out ~ hard to believe it is
                                                        that time already. However, now I have
                                                        to find a spot for them in the garden!

                                                          I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for
