Touches of Pink

     Hello everyone,

I hope your week is going well. We are
enjoying some spring weather here again~
can't believe March is over already.
Robins have returned to the garden and
I see birds collecting for their nests .....
so spring is in the air!

I am still enjoying my tulip bouquets and
they add a nice touch of spring to the
tablescape.

Once again it is a simple tablescape
with touches of pink.

This pretty china was a gift
from a friend last year.
The vintage linen was
a thrift find.

   Tea anyone?

Well, it is time for my walk before
the rain starts here for a couple of days~
I am looking forward to those April showers
bringing May flowers. I have been pouring
over my garden photos from previous years and
can't wait for those garden blossoms again.

I am joining BNOTP for Tablescape
                                                                                          Thursday.

Hope you have a lovely day!

                                                                                                                                Carolyn

Identifying Slug and Snail Damage: Using Iron Phosphate to Effectively Kill and Manage Snails and Slugs

Identifying Slug and Snail Damage:
Using Iron Phosphate to Effectively Kill and Manage Snails and Slugs

Slugs and snails are common in most gardens. They love leafy greens. They come out with the warming spring rains. I found the best way to manage them is with Iron Phosphate baited pellets. It can be used in organic gardens.

I had such a problem that anything green would be destroyed.I had small snails that would chew 100's of holes in plants like Chinese Cabbage and Bok Choy. The larger slugs would make large holes in my Kohlrabi and Cabbages. The cabbage heads would form and I would find many many small snails in them.

Iron Phosphate is so effective, I forget I have a problem. As long as I use it regularly, I notice little, if any damage. I use it about every 2 weeks and I don't over sprinkle/concentrate it around the garden. A nice light broadcasting of the pellets is all you need.

Good Luck with Your Garden,

I like to set the tables the day

to white for the summer.

Welcome Spring

Hello everyone,

I am happy that spring has arrived
here even though the weather has been
a bit colder lately.
The sun is shining but the wind is blowing
today. However,we know good things are
about to happen soon and I love the longer
days.

I am almost done of my spring
cleaning. Before Easter arrives
it will be all done and hopefully,
I can clean the boathouse and cottage
soon before getting into the garden.
One of my spring chores \was
  changing my Friendly Village  dishes
for my Florentine vintage china.

I have a few bunnies hopping
            around in here too.

              My spring tea

I am so looking forward to getting
out in the garden and seeing the return
                                                             of these spring beauties.

It is March break here on the Island
so we have some of our grandchildren
coming for a sleepover visit .....always
fun. On Easter Sunday we will be hosting
our family dinner so I am looking
forward to that as well.

I am happy that you took
the time to visit me!

Peaceful Sunday Afternoon Tea

            Hello everyone,

On this beautiful sunny last day of
winter, I thought this cozy corner
in our bedroom would be perfect for my
afternoon tea. The sun is streaming in and my
plants are giving me a boost of
spring color.
Our bedroom

Chamomile tea will add to my
peaceful atmosphere.

A small teapot ' Grace' is
perfect for one.

Wishing you a peaceful Palm Sunday
today.

Take care,
Carolyn
